VMhost Server: Dell PowerEdge R730 Intel Xeon CPU E5-2687W @ 3.10GHz with 767.91 GB memory.
vSwitch1 (Local with no vmnic assigned)
Virtual Machines: 2 MS Windows 2008 R2 with 10 GB LAN nic
(Both on the same VMhost)
We are planning to implement more of 10 GB networking.
Using the iperf3 network speed test between the two virtual machines (MS Windows 2008 R2), I get up to around 5 GB.
Running the same iperf3 between two virtual machines (Linux OS), I get up to around 8 - 9 GB.
1. Are any of you able to get around 8 GB speed between 2 MS Window 2008 R2 virtual machines?
2. Or what is fastest network speed do you get in a MS Windows 2008 R2 virtual machines?
3. What is the solution or tuning settings?
I even run "iperf3 -s" and "iperf3 -c 127.0.0.1" in one MS Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine, and I still get around 5 GB.
