No, i think I haven't been clear.
It fails over correctly without any issues. I just want to know, without checking the arp of the switch, which is the port in use at a specific time. Take this for example: I reboot the ESXi, and the vswitch has failback disabled. During boot esxi selects the nic which initializes first. If the nic selected doesn't go offline, it remains the active nic, but I do not know which one it is. I can only find out by running an arp query on the pswitch.
Using the gui from web client you can see the links but only as configured not how they are actually used.
