It's actually not an error, but a warning. You'll need to reconfigure the VM after migration, so that it is connected to a port group again.In case you are already on vSphere 6.5, you may use the Web...

You cannot vMotion migrate a VM which is joined to a vDS-backed port group to a vSS. You will need to disconnect the NIC on the VM and then migrate. Reconfigure when it migrates to the destination...

Then join the VM's vNIC to a port group backed by a vSS, otherwise remove the NIC entirely.

Are you using vCenter here? I can't tell from your message when you say "vSphere web client" if you mean the ESXi embedded host client (HTML5) or one of the web-based clients on vCenter.

No, there is no such thing as a Distributed Switch (vDS) without vCenter Server. The only thing you can use is Standard Switch (vSS).
